Titan allstars represent in allstar weekend game

The Tri-County Titans had 6 players make it on the 2009 All-Star team this season for the South/East Division. Offensive line leader #62 Luis Frausto, is one of the key linemen that has always worked hard for the offensive and had at least 24 key blocks this year. Because of the help of Frausto, running back #28 Anthony Davis is now a 3-time all-star as well. Davis didn’t finish the season due to injury, but still ran the ball 62 times for 296 yards averaging 4.8 yards per carry. He also had 4 receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown coming out of the backfield. Capping off the offensive all-stars was dominant receiver #6 Reno Kaloni, who led the league in both receptions(46) and yards(735). Kaloni has led the league in the last 3 years and continues to be dominant as the years come and go. Unfortunately, all three players were not able to finish their seasons due to injuries. Because of this, they didn’t participate in the allstar game as well.
We also had 3 players on the defensive side of the ball that were honored as all-stars for 2009. Defensive lineman #56, Jason Sagaio is a playmaking machine with 37 tackles, 8 for lost yards. He also had 2 forced fumbles and 3 pass deflections. Sagaio is a very aggressive player that understands the game very well. He has been a big part of the success of the defense. Due to prior engagements, he was unable to participate in the allstar game as well.
Our dynamic duo cornerbacks, #7 Donte Gamble and #1 G’Vaughn Francis, were not only the key factors for the Titans, but the key factors for the allstars during the weekend. Gamble, a lockdown corner that every quarterback feared because of his superior talent and great speed. Gamble played at San Diego State University and is currently working on his chances to play in the NFL. He most recently was on the Spike TV show, 4th and Long with Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irving, which gave Gamble a chance to try out for the Dallas Cowboys. Francis led the LCFL with 7 interceptions, 4 of which he returned for touchdowns. These two players combined, were the most intimidating cornerbacks in the league. In the allstar game, Gamble did what he always does and that was lock up every receiver that stood in front of him. Francis used his finesse and skill to make receivers work. He finished off the day with a key interception in the endzone to put the game away.
The South/East prevailed 31-14 over the North/West and along with all the great players from the league, our players stood out among the best of the best.
