SEPTEMBER 11th, 2010 - PREDATORS @ TITANS

(LAS VEGAS, Nevada August 21, 2010)

TRI-COUNTY TITANS TAKE TOUGH LOSS IN DESERT KINGdom!

In a game that was "all-bad" from the opening kickoff the Tri-County Titans look to have short memories and rebound quickly. As eluded to earlier, the Titans muffed the opening kickoff which led to the Vegas Kings first score on a touchdown run. The Titans followed that miscue up with an interception returned for a touchdown by the Kings stout defensive unit. The Kings took a 21-0 lead into halftime and the Titans made some adjustments with hopes of turning the game around with some of their many weapons.

The Kings apparently never got the message and continued their defensive dominance as on the day they returned 2 interceptions for touchdowns, recovered 1 fumble for a touchdown, and blocked field goal and returned it for a 91 yard touchdown. You simply can't do that against any team if you expect to win, but especially against a defensive front seven like the Kings, Titans Head Coach Juwan Hurd remarked.

The bright spot for the Titans.......well the defensive unit had 5 sacks, new aquisition wide receiver Devin Stearns (University of California) had 4 receptions for 87 yards and newly aquired back-up quarterback Anthony Andre (University of LaVerne) threw for 105 yards. All-in-All it was a high mileage learning experience for the Titans and they look to bounce back against one of the four mighty San Diego area teams. Sunday in Fullerton the Titans will take on the San Diego Stallions that are coming off of a 24-4 loss to the Defending LCFL Champion North County Cobras. The Stallions are another quality organization that will look to leave their mark on the Titans. But, the Titans are a veteran team that will have some adjustments of their own.
